How do I have Vozzle listen to a meeting?

Press and hold the Speak button and choose Meet — or open the Meetings tab and tap +. Vozzle then listens like a personal assistant, captioning every speaker live and keeping a private on-device backup of what it hears so you never lose a word. Tap End and it writes a summary, action items, and key points for you. Capturing and transcribing a meeting works on every plan — the free tier gets 10 lifetime AI trials to try it.

Step by stepa quick walk-through

Here's how

  1. Start a meeting

Press and hold the on-screen Speak button and tap Meet, or open the Meetings tab and tap + ("Start meeting") — either opens the New Meeting screen. On an iPhone 15 Pro or 16 you can also map the Action Button to "Start a meeting" so one side-button press jumps straight into setup, handy when reaching for the screen mid-conversation would be awkward.

  2. Add a title, then Start Meeting

On the New Meeting screen you can optionally type a title and pick a meeting type (General, 1-on-1, Standup, Client Project Briefing, Brainstorm, Interview, or Sales Call), then tap Start Meeting. The type you choose swaps in a tailored AI prompt, so the end summary is shaped for that kind of conversation — a standup gets per-person status and blockers, a sales call gets pain points and buying signals.

  3. Watch it listen live

Vozzle captions each speaker in real time and surfaces a Key Points pill as themes emerge — tap it to read what it's caught so far. In parallel it keeps a private on-device backup of what it hears, so a locked screen or a dropped network never costs you a word; the gap is transcribed once you reconnect.

  4. Tap End to get your notes

Hit the red End button and Vozzle writes a summary, action items, key points, and an overall sentiment read, then adds up to three suggested tags. Those tags help you find the meeting later via search and filters — they don't move it in the list, which always groups by time (Today, This Week, Earlier).

Tip

Picked the wrong format, or the summary missed the point? Open the meeting and tap Refresh Summary to re-run analysis against a different meeting type or your own custom prompt — your old summary stays on screen until the new one atomically replaces it, so there's no blank-meeting gap. It's one more AI run, billed like any analysis.

What happens if my screen locks or my connection drops mid-meeting?

Vozzle keeps a private on-device backup of what it hears and transcribes the gap once you're back online, so a locked phone or flaky network never loses a word. That backup stays on the device that captured the meeting — and in your own iCloud Drive if you use iCloud — never on our servers, and is auto-deleted 30 days after the meeting ends, pruned on the next app launch past that window.

Do I need a subscription to have Vozzle listen to a meeting?

Live transcription and the post-meeting summary plus action items are Starter-tier features, but the free tier ships with 10 lifetime AI trial credits so you can run a full meeting end-to-end before subscribing. Trials are tracked server-side, so they can't be reset by reinstalling — once they're used up you'll need a plan to keep going.

Can I get the speakers re-identified if Vozzle split or merged them wrong?

Yes — open the meeting and re-process speakers (Pro tiers can auto-trigger this at meeting end when the live pass looks shaky). It re-runs diarization on that on-device audio backup and reconciles the result, keeping any speaker names you've already corrected by hand. It only works on the phone that captured the meeting and only within the 30-day backup window, and it counts as one transcription credit.
