How do I create a custom document from a meeting in Vozzle?
Open the meeting, tap the AI menu, and choose "Create Document…" to open the "Generate Document" sheet. Pick a ready-made template, or tap the "Custom" card and describe exactly what you want in the "What kind of document?" field, then tap "Generate". Vozzle drafts it in Markdown from the conversation it heard, and you can "Save as Note" and reuse the meeting to generate as many documents as you need.
Here's how
Open the AI menu
Inside the meeting, open the AI menu and tap "Create Document…". It stays disabled until the meeting has a transcript, because Vozzle drafts from the text of the conversation it heard — not the raw audio — so a still-processing meeting can't generate yet.
Choose Custom
In the "Generate Document" sheet, tap a ready-made template (those are fetched live from Vozzle's server, so you need a connection to see them) or tap the "Custom" card labelled "Your own instructions" to write your own brief instead.
Describe what you need
In the "What kind of document?" field, type anything — "e.g. a cooking recipe, executive summary" — then tap "Generate". A custom brief is sent verbatim, so the result is shaped exactly how you asked rather than forced into a fixed summary/action-items layout.
Save the result
Vozzle streams the draft in Markdown; tap "Save as Note" to keep it as a note that inherits the meeting's tags. There's no Copy button — select the text directly if you only need a snippet — and a saved note can later go out as a Vozzle Link.
The Custom brief is freeform on purpose: unlike a meeting summary it isn't boxed into Summary / Key Points / Action Items, so you can ask for a press release, a parent-friendly recap, or a recipe and get that exact shape — and you can name a specific audience or length right in the field.
Worth knowing
- Templates are server-sideThe ready-made template grid is fetched from Vozzle's "/ai/document-templates" endpoint at open time, so an offline or flaky connection shows only the Custom card until it loads.
- Custom isn't a summaryThe custom brief is passed through untouched as its own document type, so unlike the "Custom" meeting-analysis option it is not rewritten into the four-section Summary / Key Points / Action Items / Topics template.
- Saved doc carries tags"Save as Note" creates a meeting-type note titled after the meeting and copies the meeting's tags onto it, so the document lands already filed alongside the conversation it came from.
- Then share itBecause the output becomes an ordinary note, you can turn it into a Vozzle Link from the note's share options — Vozzle Link sharing is itself a Starter-and-up feature.
While you're here
Can one meeting produce more than one document?
Yes — each run is independent and saved as its own note, so generate one, reopen the AI menu, and create another with a different template or brief. The sheet even reminds you of this. The one limit is that the result panel shows only the latest draft, so save each document before generating the next.
What plan do I need, and is it ever throttled?
Document generation is a Starter-tier feature. Free users can try it against their lifetime trial credits (10 by default, consumed server-side), and once those run out it's blocked until you subscribe. On a paid plan each generation is metered against your monthly AI budget rather than a per-document fee.
What format does the document come out in, and can I copy it?
Vozzle drafts in Markdown so headings and lists stay clean, and the text is selectable. There's no dedicated Copy button in the result view — long-press to select the part you want, or tap "Save as Note" to keep the whole thing in Vozzle where you can edit or share it.
